Has anyone seen these dogs?

 Snug Harbor, Hertford, NC

Please take a careful look at these dogs as both of them have disappeared from their owners' yard in Snug Harbor, Hertford, NC. The owners fear they have been stolen.

The Police, Animal Control, animal shelters in Tyner, Elizabeth City and Currituck have been notified, and pictures have been posted all around. But, despite all of this, there has been no trace of these two dogs.

Zoey was wearing a green collar with a red cherry print on it.  She also may/may not still have a pink extend-a-leash attached to the collar.  She is very shy and timid - nervous around new people.  I don't think she was micro-chipped, but I haven't had a chance to get that done/checked out yet as I've only had her a week.  She is beagle/basset hound mix and about 10 months old.  She is almost all black with white legs and tail tip, and also some brown tipping too.

Please help find Zoey

We have lost our dog. She is a Sheltie Collie. Her name is Zoey. She was lost on Bass Mountain Road in Graham, NC, when one daughter dropped her off at another daughter's house to watch for a few hours till I could pick her up and take her to my house after work. She got scared, and backed out of her collar and took off.

There are miles and miles of woods on Bass Mountain Rd. She is a very loved family pet, and is 6 years old. She is a Sheltie Collie, she is the normal sable (tan and a little black and white) but her hair is not as long as some Shelties. She is also slightly taller than most Shelties. But, she is full blooded so has the distinct features.

She has been missing since Monday afternoon. We are continually putting out flyers, and posters, and calling vets, and shelters, and they have spent hours up and down that road calling her. No sign of her yet. She is leery of men, and a little nervous around strangers, but she is a very sweet tempered dog. She does like children. I'll try to enclose a picture of her here, for a better description. I know we are frantic to get her back home safely.

Lost between Old Farm & Summer Meadow communities, Denfield Street, Durham, 27704 on Wednesday afternoon, 6/4/08.

Houdini is a spayed German Shepherd Mix with dark fur and tan highlights. She was rescued from a bad situation and may be afraid of people. She is very gentle but very shy; may have a harness on and a trailing lead. Houdini is microchipped.

My husband I were working in the yard on Sunday and Hope was with me.  The neighbors dog ran across the street, and chased Hope out of our yard, and into the back field.  She has not returned.  I assume she is afraid.  She is wearing a collar (red) and her micro-chip tag, or she was when she left, also her rabies tag. I did adopt her from GCAS.  Her micro-chip may register her to GCAS.

I live at 2425 Commonwealth Ave.  Saturday night, someone came through my back fence (which now has a gap b/c of the temporary easement they have put up bordering the new Morningside development) and stole a leaf blower out of my shed.

More importantly, they tore down the 3 foot area where I had to put chicken wire to keep my Siberian Husky from getting out, sooooo, when I let my dog out around 1am Saturday, 4/19/08, she slipped out.  I was talking to some neighbors and they suggested sending you an email to see if you could shoot something out about a missing Siberian Husky.

Her name is KYLA and she is very friendly, blackish-gray and white with blue eyes, and has(or had) a blue collar on with a tag with all of my info.  I have had her for about 8 years, so I am just trying to spread the word as much as possible to see if I can find her.  I haven’t heard anything back as of yet, so it’s not looking too good.  If you have any means of spreading the word, it would be greatly appreciated.  My concern is that she is such a beautiful dog that someone might have stolen her or she may be long gone out of the neighborhood by now.  Anything you could do to help would be awesome.  Thanks

I have found a really sweet black lab/shepherd mix. He is approx. 1 year old 50-60 lbs (still does some chewing)...has been fully trained (choker, housebroken). He was wearing a red collar which I took off and cannot get it around his neck anymore. (too small). He is neutered and seems to be in great health. He was roaming the area of National Highway, Hasty School Road, Thomasville, NC for approximately one week (as I have heard from
neighbors) before he decided to make his home at my house. He moved in on March 28th 2008. He is somewhat afraid of riding in the car, although, does not get car sick. He likes to sleep with the tip of his tongue hanging out.
(so cute). He gets along great with my 2 dogs (shelty/shepherd and grey
hound/chow) and also gets along well with children.

I would like to find his family otherwise, I will keep him. He will be going to the vet next week for a checkup and possibly shots.

My 7 month old, female, fawn-colored Chihuahua got away from me (March
4, 2008) at 1:25 p.m. on the bridge with all of the ducks at Shelley
Lake in Raleigh, North Carlina (near crossroad of Lead Mine and Millbrook Rd).

She got startled by the ducks, caught me off guard and took off running. I chased her for as long as I could, but lost sight as she turned the corner to the plateau overlooking the lake and the small parking lot. Her name is Nikki (nickname Noodle) and she is 4 pounds. Her incision from being spayed is still visible on her belly. She was wearing a pink and black striped hoodie and a purple nylon harness with a six-foot leash.

Nikki is extremely shy. She is afraid of most everything and everyone (cars, strollers, human beings). If you see her, she may come to you for cheese or chicken. Unfortunately, she was not wearing her ID collar, but she has been microchipped.

Nikki comes everywhere with me and I am desperate to find her.

On Monday a friend of ours house was broken into and now their dog is gone.  Floyd is a survivor of hurricane Floyd (hence the name).  Here is a description of him.
He was lost from Hubbard Rd which runs between Mallard Creek and W.Sugar Creek in the University area.
They are surrounded by major roads – W. WT Harris Blvd, Mallard Creek, Nevin Road
They live very close to the Mallard Creek Greenway so he could be walking the greenway.
